The Town Centre Partnership
Stafford Town Centre Partnership brings together retailers and businesses, Stafford Borough Council , Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire Police all working towards one common goal – to maintain a vibrant, attractive, prosperous, safe and clean town centre, for its visitors, workers and its local people.

The Town Centre Partnership started in 2005 as an informal public/private sector partnership; in 2009 a membership scheme was launched. The partnership is open to all businesses and retailers in the town centre as well as public sector organisations. It is people like you who the run the partnership. Why become a member?
- Opportunity to promote your business through the new dedicated town centre website and Stafford Town Centre Enjoy Card Scheme.
- We all need to recognise that we have an interest in the well being of the town, we need to have a joined up working approach to ensure the town centre remains vibrant, prosperous, safe, clean and attractive; in partnership with Stafford Borough Council, Staffordshire County Council and Staffordshire Police.
- It is important that the partnership has a balanced representation from private and public sector organisations, and people from different backgrounds to represent the broad variety of interests in the town centre.
- Know what’s going on in your town centre. Get involved and make a difference, you will need to know about future developments in the town centre that may impact on your business, you may need your views to be known and wish to contribute in a positive away to discussions.
- Have a voice, suggest solutions to any issues you have, opportunity to influence what goes on in your town centre.
- The partnership is able to liaise with many other organisations on your behalf that can bring about change in the short, medium and long terms in the town centre.
Aims of the Partnership
- To raise the awareness of Stafford Town Centre, its shops and businesses, at a local, regional and national level.
- To ensure Stafford Town Centre remains vibrant, prosperous, clean, safe and an attractive place in which to live, visit, work, play, do business and invest in.
- To promote Keep Trade Local and encourage businesses to use each others services.
- To bring together retailers, businesses, and all private and public sector organisations involved in the town centre, to work together for the good of the town.
