In the heart of Stafford Town Centre you can visit some of the town’s most beautiful sites, such as The Ancient High House - the largest timber framed town house in England, built in 1595; The Shire Hall Gallery - an exciting and innovative contemporary art gallery; Stafford Gatehouse Theatre - with a full and thriving programme of entertainment; Victoria Park; and St Mary’s Church to name but a few.
The beautiful Market Square is home to many events that take place in the town centre, including the Summer Festival, Christmas lights switch on, Mayors Parade and the Stafford half marathon. The monthly farmers market is also held in Market Square on the second Saturday of each month.
